Buhler studies at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco and moved to London to pursue a career in finance. From 2002 she has been painting professionally on a commission bases for private individuals as well as companies, fully embracing her basic need to create. In her recent work she plays with layers of meaning and paint; a finished painting can have numerous paintings beneath it creating a depth that is rarely seen. She always looks to connect objects or subjects on a deeper level, something that the viewer only learns after observing carefully and discerning the artists whispers through the layers. Through her painting and mixed media work Nina has been an integral part of the contemporary art scene in New York , London ,Monaco ,Stockholm and the Netherlands where she now lives.
