“Every dark cloud has Silver-lining” instinctively makes the viewer curious, whether to contrast within the peace gives a different meaning to their original thoughts. The piece depicts the perfect social media appearance that the black and white family give off despite there being troubles in the background. Showing off their power and class to the attire, they appear almost oblivious to the explosion of which they have their backs turned against. With only the background and solid gold and no pattern, gauging creates a collage of cutouts which allows for the focus to be on the figures.
